2. Getting Started
What is Teepo?Teepo is a social app that helps golfers find playing partners, schedule rounds, and track every course they’ve played.
How do I start? Download Teepo Golf from the App Store → enter your invite code → choose a sign-in method (Apple / Google / Email / Phone) → set up your profile (display name, city, optional handicap) → browse nearby courts and players on the Discover tab.
Where do I get an invite code?Teepo is currently invite-only during beta. If a friend sent you a referral link, tap it (or scan the QR code) and the code will bind automatically after install. If you don’t have an invite yet, email us to request one.
3. Frequently Asked Questions
How do I host an open session?
- Tap the floating “+” button at the center of the tab bar
- Pick a course, time, hole count, and handicap range
- Once posted, other golfers can request to join — you decide who to approve
What happens after I request to join someone’s session?
- Your request goes into the host’s pending list
- If approved, you get a push notification and join the session group chat
- If declined, you’ll be notified so you can request a different game
Is handicap required?
- Not required, but it helps match you with players at your level
- Hosts can set a handicap range for their session (e.g. 10 – 20); players outside the range can’t request to join
- Some hosts mark handicap as “strictly required” — players who haven’t set theirs can’t request that session
How does attendance verification work?
- Once the session starts, participants can open the app at the course and verify attendance via GPS
- If GPS fails, players on-site can manually confirm each other
- Footprint, scores, and points only count after attendance is verified
What’s the Footprint map?
- Every course you’ve played is automatically pinned on a watercolor world map
- You can export a beautiful share card to WeChat, iMessage, or your photo library
- Premium-tier courses are highlighted in gold to showcase your bucket-list checks
What can I do with Teepo Points?
- Earn points by joining sessions, hosting games, recording scores, and keeping streaks
- Redeem points in Profile → Points Shop for exclusive Teepo Bear merchandise
- Your tier (10 ranks from “Tee Off” to “Grand Slam”) is shown on your profile
I’m not receiving push notifications.
- iOS Settings → Notifications → Teepo → make sure “Allow Notifications” is on
- Inside the app: Profile → Settings → Notification preferences — check that individual categories aren’t disabled
- Restarting the device or reinstalling the app refreshes the push token if it’s gotten stale
What happens if I disable location?
- The app still works, but “Nearby Courts” and “Nearby Players” won’t populate
- GPS-based attendance verification won’t work (you’ll need to confirm manually with other players on-site)
- We recommend setting it to at least “While Using the App”
4. Account & Privacy
How do I delete my account?
- In-app: Profile → Settings → scroll to the bottom → “Delete Account”. Follow the prompts to re-authenticate and confirm.
- By email: From the email address you signed up with, send a request to customersupport@teepo.club with the subject “Delete account request”. We’ll process it within 7 business days.
How is my data handled? See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown. In short: we only collect what’s needed to run the app, and we never sell or share your data with third-party advertisers.
Can I switch sign-in methods? An account is currently bound to a single sign-in provider (Apple / Google / Email / Phone). If you need to switch, email customersupport@teepo.club and we’ll help.
